Happy 232nd Birthday to our country!! We'll be celebrating Indepence Day with family and friends. I'm sure there will be lots of food, fun, and of course FIREWORKS!!Sometime on July 4, take a moment to stop and give thanks to the countless men and women who have served our country and fought to establish and preserve the freedoms that we enjoy today. Freedom does not come without a price!!
Also, take a moment to stop and give thanks to God for the gift of Jesus Christ, who purchased our freedom from sin and death. Because of Jesus' life, death and resurrection, we are set free from our sins, and can look forward to eternal life. Romans 8: 1-3 says "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering."
